Photo: The W family drove 17 hours each way to come and pick up their precious new girl CoCo! The W family have owned 3 of our dogs, and one of their married children has another one! Adore their family! All 4 made the long journey home to Arizona by car with their new family!
We always treasure the chance to meet our Puppy FUREVER homes in person!
Anyone is welcome to come, and visit the farm, and pick up their puppy! People from all over the country have come to pick up their puppy from as far away as Florida with a 22 hour drive each way. They surprised us by doing that, but made a very fun road trip along the way! Several families have traveled as far as 17 hours each way, a number of them have driven 10-12 hours each way, and quite a few within 6 to 8 hours each way.
This option is of course free on our end to you.
Photo: The B family came to get their two brothers, George and Harry and take them back to Utah. We met them at the Airport, and they flew back out the same afternoon! The B family are just so awesome! Loved meeting them in person!
Quite a few families have chosen to fly in to the nearest Airport {ICT - Wichita, KS}.
We meet you at the Airport, about an hour and a half, to two hours before your flight out, and give you your puppy. Your cost is just your flight, and it usually costs about $100 to book the puppy to fly with you in cabin. They can do so as long as they fit in their carrier, and weigh under 20 lbs.
You can then hop on your flight back out, and head back home all in the same few hours usually!
We suggest getting the 19" x 12'' x 11' carriers for these big OES pups. Some of our previous puppy homes are happy to sell you theirs at a discount, if they still have it. Your cost with us for this option is just $75 for the 3 hour round trip to the airport to get your puppy to you, so you can fly back out.
Photo: One of the dozens of Amazing Flight Nanny's that have transported our precious cargo across the country to their new FUREVER family! Most often it is only 5-8 hours from the time they leave us, to the time they are safely in your arms! They are with their Nanny the entire trip!
There are dozens of Flight Nanny companies across the US. We have worked with 5 or 6 of them.
In 5 years we have not had a bad experience with a flight nanny yet! They have all done an amazing job getting your precious cargo from us to you. Usually in about 5 -8 hours from the time that they leave our arms, to being safety in your arms!
Flight Nannie's are usually Airline employee's, or Airline employee spouses that are able to fly standby, and they transport pets across the country on their days off.
They are well versed in watching weather, and flight availability, and can easily make changes if the need arrises. The cost for this on our end is $75 for the 3 hour round trip to get your puppy to their nanny at the nearest airport. We book the nanny for you, so you do not need to worry about figuring all of that out. They will contact you to pay your deposit, and sometimes sign a contract. The rest of payment is due in cash on delivery. Flight nanny fees usually run between $550 and $750 across the country.
By the time you figure in Gas, and a night in a hotel. Sometimes a lot of hours of driving, plus wear, and tear on your vehicle to come to us. The flight nanny option often ends up being the most affordable, and easiest, and fastest route. To get your puppy to you, if you live more than a state or two away!
Photo: Julio and Niki Flew in to KS. Rented a car, drove the hour to us. Got to visit us, and see the farm, meet the OES parents and siblings, and then they drove back home to Wisconsin! It was so special to meet them in person!
A handful of families have chosen to Fly in. Rent a car, and come to the farm so that they can still see the farm, and our set up, meet the puppy parents, and other OES, and then drive back home. They say this has been an enjoyable way to take their puppy home without having to drive both ways.
Photo: Grace kindly took Hairy along with her too. Back to the town that she goes to college in. Hairy's new daddy met her there, and only had to drive half way to get his new OES pup!
There have been a few family's who choose to share the cost of the trip to come here, with another family, and only one of them made the trip. They picked up both pups, and then met up with the other family on their way back home. Or if they lived in the same area, once they were back home. This has worked well for the family's who have done this.
Photo: Dylan with DeliFurry Pet Delivery Company. DeliFurry has a Route going from Texas to the West Coast, and a second route going from Texas to the East Coast. Both routes go out again about ever 7 to 10 days. They do an amazing job caring for the pups, keeping them safe and healthy, and sending lots of updates along the trip!
A number of family's have chosen to use one of the Reputable Ground Transport companies to pick their puppy up at the farm, and bring them right to them by ground transport. Our favorite company so far, takes great care to avoid the puppy ever leaving the very clean transport van. This is so they are not exposed to Parvo or another illness on the way home. They send updates every few hours with pictures, and video of how your baby is doing. About an hour or two before they reach you they give the puppy a bath, and get them looking just as amazing as they did when they left us! If more than one person in your litter is doing this transport option as well, and they are heading to the same area of country. You can ride share on price to get a discount, and they will let the littermates share a crate during their journey too! If you wish them to. This route does take longer than just getting in a car, and driving because they are stopping along the way for puppy potty, and food breaks, and also to pick up, and drop off other precious pets along the way. The company we mentioned above has a West Coast Route Driver, and an East Coast Route driver. So they can be heading in both directions at the same time. They have been excellent to work with. We have used a couple of others too, who also do a great job! Each company charges different rates across the country, and depends on if you are ride sharing with other pups in your litter or not too.

This option is probably a more expensive option, because we do not fly free like the flight nannies do. However it does allow us to know exactly when we will leave, and get in to you. You will know this much earlier than you can know with the flight nannies, and you have less chance of any changes needing to be made due to standby availability. With the flight nannies the earliest we know travel plans is a week in advance, and often only a day, or two in advance. There have been times with this option, that planned travel dates had to change the day of. Due to things like weather, and standby flight availability. So there are some plus's to this option. The cost to do this, is the cost of our flights, plus a little food, and parking cost added in, and one night in a hotel if we can not get back home in the same day.
There are also a few companies that will provide this option of transport to you as well.
Photo: Danette, and Shane, and Willa, their new love bug. After we drove her to Branson Mo along with another pup being delivered to Arkansas too!
We can drive to bring the puppy to you, either the full way, or half the way, and meet you there. The pricing for this is the US milage rate, plus if the trip is over 11 hours total then some food, and 1 night in a hotel.
As anything longer than 11 hours total driving will mean we can not do both legs of the journey in one day, and will need to stay overnight somewhere before returning home the next day.
Photo: Loaded up in the crate to ship out Cargo to Oregon. We have only allowed this method one time, per the request of the new owner.
There is the option of shipping the puppy out to you in a crate cargo on an airplane. For decades this was the only way to send a puppy out to a family across the country, and it was used very often. These days it is used much less often than the flight nannies. It is not a way we like to do it, because there have been instances of puppies being hurt on the way home. By being tossed around in the crate, under the airplane, in cargo with the luggage. Many more puppies make it safely than do not, but we do not like taking that chance. It is also a very complicated system to book, and almost impossible from some states to others. They must be dropped off at the airport 3 hours prior to their flight. Their layover flight must be no less than 2 full hours. 1 hour and 57 minutes, and they will not book it. They have papers on their crate instructing the airlines how long it has been since they were given water, and food, and when it is due next, but that is not always caught, and followed. Then there is a decent amount of time wait after they arrive at your airport, before you can pick them up. So all in all this is just an option we prefer not to use. It takes up to 18 hours from the time puppy leaves us until they are with you. It costs just as much to use this method, and a nanny or ground transport. So really no good reason not to use one of the safer faster transport options.
